Each year the R.K. Kittay Public Library awards one scholarship to a graduating senior who resides in Rupert and will be attending college in the fall. This year the scholarship amount is $300. Applicants must demonstrate that they have served their community as a volunteer during their high-school career. 

 

When possible, scholarship preference will be given to students who have previously volunteered at the library.

 

How to apply:  

 

1. Complete the scholarship application. (2 pages)

2. Submit an essay (250-500 words) describing how volunteering or community service has shaped who you are today, and what community service has taught you.

 

3. On a separate piece of paper:

​

○ List any academic honors or awards while in high school.  

○ List your hobbies, outside interests, and extracurricular activities.

○ List all school-related volunteer activities.  

○ List all independent (non-school sponsored) volunteer activities in your community.

 

4. Submit the completed essay, two-page application, and list of activities NO LATER THAN MAY 1, 2025 to:
